These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Schema Design website and educational services. By accessing or using our data architecture courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms of Service, the following definitions apply:
"Service" refers to data architecture courses, educational programs, workshops, and related training services provided by Schema Design.
"User" or "Student" means any person accessing our website, enrolling in courses, or participating in our educational programs.
"Content" includes all text, images, videos, course materials, documentation, and educational resources provided through our platform.
"We/Us/Our" refers to Schema Design, a educational services provider based in Cyprus.
2. Use of Educational Services
Eligibility and Enrollment
- Students must be at least 18 years old to enroll in our data architecture courses
- Course enrollment is subject to prerequisites and instructor approval for advanced programs
- Students must provide accurate personal and professional information during registration
- Account credentials are personal and non-transferable; sharing access is prohibited
Educational Use and Academic Integrity
- Course materials are provided for educational purposes and personal professional development
- Students must complete assignments and projects independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted
- Course access duration is limited to the enrollment period plus 90 days for review
- Academic misconduct, including plagiarism or cheating, may result in immediate termination
3. Prohibited Uses
Students and users may not engage in the following activities:
Content and Platform Misuse
- Redistribute, copy, or share course materials without written authorization
- Record, stream, or broadcast live sessions without explicit permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use automated tools to access or scrape platform content
Harmful or Illegal Activities
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations in Cyprus or your jurisdiction
- Transmit harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or other user accounts
- Harass, intimidate, or discriminate against other students or instructors
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Schema Design Content Ownership
All course materials, including but not limited to lectures, presentations, documentation, code examples, and educational resources, remain the exclusive property of Schema Design. Students receive a limited, non-exclusive license for personal educational use only.
License Scope: Personal study, reference, and professional application of learned concepts. Commercial redistribution or resale is strictly prohibited.
Student-Generated Content
Students retain ownership of original work created during courses, including project solutions and personal assignments. However, by submitting work for evaluation, students grant Schema Design a non-exclusive right to use submissions for educational and assessment purposes.
Third-Party Content
Courses may include references to third-party technologies, frameworks, and tools. Students are responsible for complying with respective licenses and terms when using such technologies in their professional work.
5. Payment Terms and Refund Policy
Course Fees and Payment
- Course fees are displayed in Euros (EUR) and must be paid in full before course access is granted
- Payment plans may be available for premium courses upon request and approval
- All payments include applicable Cyprus VAT and will be reflected on invoices
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Full Refund (100%)
Cancellation within 7 days of enrollment before course commencement
Partial Refund (50%)
Cancellation within first week of course start with less than 25% content accessed
No Refund
After second week of course or when more than 25% of content has been accessed
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to legal@domain.com and will be processed within 14 business days.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Educational Service Disclaimer
Schema Design provides educational services "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for high-quality instruction, we make no commitments regarding specific career outcomes, job placement, or salary increases following course completion.
Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability is limited to the amount of course fees paid by the student
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Students assume responsibility for implementing learned concepts in their professional work
- Technical issues beyond our control may temporarily affect service availability
Professional Responsibility
Students are responsible for verifying the applicability of course content to their specific professional circumstances and ensuring compliance with their employer's policies and industry regulations when implementing data architecture solutions.
7. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Resolution Process
- 1 Informal Resolution: Initial attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication with our student services team
- 2 Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be addressed through professional mediation services in Cyprus
- 3 Arbitration: Final binding arbitration under Cyprus Commercial Arbitration Rules if necessary
Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and European Union regulations
Jurisdiction
Courts of Nicosia, Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings
8. Termination of Services
Student-Initiated Termination
- Students may withdraw from courses subject to refund policy terms
- Access to course materials terminates upon withdrawal confirmation
- Partial completion certificates not available for withdrawn students
Schema Design-Initiated Termination
- Immediate termination for violation of terms or academic misconduct
- Termination with notice for non-payment or disruptive behavior
- Pro-rated refunds may apply depending on termination circumstances
9. General Provisions
Changes to Terms
Schema Design reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to enrolled students with 30 days advance notice. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these terms is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and course-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between students and Schema Design regarding educational services.
